My name is Lena Gemmer and I am originally from the quiet foggy town of Montara CA where I began my love of writing on my grandfather’s Remington Rand typewriter. Before deciding to pursue an MFA in Creative Nonfiction at University of New Hampshire, I received a BA in English and History from Allegheny College in Meadville PA. As a writer, I believe in connecting to readers on a visceral human level. As a photographer, I strive to reveal both the calm beauty of a scene, while also bringing out it’s moody intensity. When I am not writing or taking photographs, you can find me pursuing my PhD in English CW at SUNY Binghamton or teaching college English!
